2026 Security & Travel Update — Israel Welcomes You Back
Last updated: July 27, 2026 — we review this page monthly to keep it current.
We’re glad to report that our Christian tours to Israel are open and running as planned. This page reflects the current, verified situation on the ground — not just good wishes — because we know that’s what you need before booking.
✈️ Ben Gurion Airport & Flights — Fully Operational
Ben Gurion Airport is fully open, with Terminal 1 back online as of July 1, 2026. The Lufthansa Group resumed its full flight schedule the same week, joining El Al and other major carriers on regular routes to Tel Aviv. Israel’s Airports Authority expects roughly 2.3 million passengers through Ben Gurion this month alone — this is one of the busiest travel periods since operations were disrupted. Airfare and route options continue to expand as more airlines return.
🌍 Where We Travel — and Why It Matters
You may have seen that the U.S. State Department currently rates Israel a Level 3 (“Reconsider Travel”) advisory. We want to address that directly rather than pretend it doesn’t exist.
That advisory is driven primarily by conditions in Gaza and the areas near the Lebanon and Syria borders — regions that are not part of any of our tour itineraries. The places our pilgrims actually visit — Jerusalem, Bethlehem, the Sea of Galilee, Nazareth, the Jordan River, and the Dead Sea — continue to operate normally. Markets are open, holy sites welcome visitors daily, and life continues in these cities much as it always has.
A ceasefire in Gaza has been in effect since October 2025. Like any region with an active diplomatic situation, conditions can shift, and we monitor them closely — but the core pilgrimage circuit has remained calm and accessible throughout 2026.
💬 Your Safety and Peace of Mind
Your well-being is our highest priority, every step of the way. Every tour is planned in coordination with licensed local guides and current security guidance, with itineraries designed to stay well clear of any restricted or advisory zones. We monitor conditions in real time throughout your trip and will adjust plans immediately if circumstances ever call for it.
❓ Is It Safe to Travel to Israel Right Now?
It’s the question every traveler asks us, and a fair one. Here’s our honest answer: the tourist regions on our itineraries — Jerusalem, the Galilee, Bethlehem, the Dead Sea, and Nazareth — are calm, open, and welcoming visitors every day. Millions of passengers are moving through Ben Gurion Airport this summer alone. We stay in direct contact with local authorities and our on-the-ground guides, and we will always tell you plainly if anything changes. If you have specific questions about your trip, we’re happy to talk them through before you book.
🕊️ Blessings of Peace
As we welcome pilgrims back to the Holy Land, we give thanks to God for His protection, and we pray that peace continues to bless Israel and all nations.
“The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace.” – Psalm 29:11
